When we decided to upgrade Dockit, our claim software, we considered a myriad of priorities that could have culminated in our second release. There are endless possibilities to expanding the software to include any number of pretty, niche-serving features. Want to connect to your internal claim workflow software? Someday. Want to be able to view obscure scheduling and design files? Soon. Want to have an iPad application that localizes a select number of files so you can review on the plane? Me too.
The decision was an easy one in the end – improve performance. Too often, service providers focus on the insignificant bells and whistles. Whether it’s a gift certificate in that flashy Christmas card or a keg of the finest craft beer at the company party – it does not help your business improve. Quality of performance helps your business. The better your tools work, the better your claim file glistens. Forget the new paper weight/flash drive/stress ball/pen set that you just got in the mail.
